I know where Ajet Nassam is-Anas reveals

Journalists Anas Aremeyaw Anas says he knows the whereabouts of Justice John Ajet Nassam, one of 12 High Court judges mired in a judicial bribery scandal.

“I have my intelligence where he is currently at …and I believe we will get there. I think that he outsmarted us and left but it’s not the end of the road yet,” he said on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, Tuesday.

Justice Ajet Nassam is one of the 34 Judges who featured in Anas’ expose on judicial corruption.
Twelve High Court Judges and 22 Lower Court Judges were caught on tape allegedly receiving bribes to pervert justice.

A five- member committee set up by Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood to investigate the High Court Judges, was once compelled to adjourn its proceedings because Justice Ajet Nassam failed to appear.

A public notice was placed in the Daily Graphic by the committee asking him to appear before the committee by 10am, October 22 or the committee would proceed without him.

The committee proceeded with its work after he failed to meet the deadline.

According Anas, Justice Ajet Nassam is not in Ghana but will be brought to face the committee at the right time.

“There is no way he could have escaped with the loads of evidence I gathered on him. I am sure that the appropriate security agencies also know what they are up to regarding him and I’m sure we are going to bring him,” he added.

Anas was speaking on his two-year investigations on Joy FM's Super Morning Show.
The results of his work shook he foundation of the country's judicial system.

UK-based professional examination and awarding body, the Institute of Commercial Management has ironed out challenges with holders of ICM-UK certificates with Ghana’s National Accreditation Board.

A meeting between the two institutions sought to address discrepancies in the equivalence of ICM-UK certificates with other accredited tertiary institutions in the country.
ICM was established in the 1970s in United Kingdom as an international examining and awarding body.

It is aimed at providing globally recognized Awards for business and management students with hundreds of affiliate centers in over 80 countries across the world.
In Ghana, the institution has over 20 thousand students pursuing their programmes from over 40 affiliate centers nationwide pursuing various disciplines form Diploma to Professional Degree, equivalent to MBA in Ghana.

However, some students in the country over the years have been challenged with certificates recognition, course progression route and certificates equivalency from the National Accreditation Board and other educational institutions.

Chairman of ICM-UK, Adair Somerville-Ford has been on a five-day working visit to Ghana. The intent of the trip, among others, is to address challenges faced by ICM students and graduates in Ghana.

He has assured ICM-UK students of continues support from the National Accreditation Board in certificates evaluation and recognition.

Mr. Somerville-Ford has entreated Ghanaians to take advantages of ICM programmes, which are designed to address the personal development and socio-economic development of the country.

He engaged center coordinators from the Greater Accra and the Ashanti Regions on the sustainable future of ICM programmes in Ghana.

Centers such as the Oxford Institute of Acting and Journalism in Kumasi and the Central University in Accra appealed to Mr. Ford to consider exchange programmes to further develop capacity of students.

Mr. Addair Somerville Ford was accompanied by the Examination Officer for Ghana, Chris Pullen, Country Director for ICM, Madam Getrude Nyarko, Country Administrator, Ephraim Denteh and other dignitaries.

Environmental Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is got to do with environmental stewardship.

According to IPCC Africa is encountering global warming which is unprecedented in the history of the earth.

This implies that Africa as a continent needs urgent mitigation measures to control the effect of climate change while combating it in a long term.

Unfortunately Africa contribute only four percent to global warming, however Africa as a continent due its developmental sage stand at a high rick of being destroyed by the uncontrollable effect of climate change such as floods, draught and drying-up of wet areas. More soon

NPP leadership petitioned to show Kwabena Agyepong the exit

Some card bearing members of the New Patriotic Party are piling pressure on the leadership of the party to begin processes to oust Kwabena Agyepong as its General Secretary.

Mr. Agyepong who is a close ally of suspended chairman of the party, Paul Afoko, also appears to have lost favour with some party members who elected him barely a year and half ago.

A petition to the disciplinary committee of the party dated November 2, 2015 and signed by four party members wants him sanctioned for “exhibiting gross misconduct, and engaging in deals tantamount to venality whiles in his elected position as General Secretary”.

The petitioners are Chris Arthur, Former TESCON-KNUST President; Adreba Kwaku Abrefa Damoa, London; Kwabena Afum Dankwa, London; and Kwame Baffoe, NPP Regional Youth Organiser, Brong Ahafo.

They also accused the General Secretary of still holding out Paul Afoko as the National Chairman contrary to the position of the National Executive Committee.
“Kwabena Agyepong has rubbished, and keeps rubbishing the suspension of Afoko from his chairmanship. This in our view is an act of mischievous contempt for the authority of the Party as a whole, including its elders, its leadership, and its structures.”

They are also citing him for taking unilateral decision as a General Secretary with particular mention of a waiver he gave to some party parliamentary aspirants and the launch of a party card.

According to the petitioners, Kwabena Agyepong's utterances and statements in the media are “always inimical, and counterproductive to the efforts made by the flag bearer, whiles he contributes little or nothing towards building a strong Party, knowing very well that general and Presidential elections are less than a year away.”

They also believed he has been involved in too many misdemeanours which are injurious to the fortunes of the party.

The petitioners are also questioning the allegiance of the NPP General Secretary, accusing him of flirting with the governing National Democratic Congress.

The petition was copied to NPP National Executive Committee, NPP National Council of Elders, the leader and presidential candidate Nana AKufo-Addo, the Acting NPP National Chairman, and the NPP Deputy General Secretary
