Victims of Kwadaso fire disaster yet to identify possible cause as they call for KMA support 16-01-12


Victims last Saturday’s fire outbreak at Kwadaso in Kumasi is yet to identify the definite cause of the disaster which destroyed property worth thousands of cedis.

Though many speculations of possible causes are on-going, leaders say they are waiting for the official report from fire service department.

Ply woods, Timbers, machines and other property worth thousands of cedis were guttered by fire.

It took the over four waters tanks from the fire service department more than five hours to bring the situation under control.

They are however calling on the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to come to their aid financially to put up some decent structures for a new beginning.

Nhyira News visits to site on Monday morning reveals over fifteen store owners had their property destroyed.

Individual owners at the time of our visit ware counting their loss as none of them has an insurance policy arrangement.
