Police in the Ashanti
Region have arrested three ladies for beating a five-month pregnant woman to
death at Adoato in Kumasi.
Two of the culprits have
separately been identified as 24 year old Serwaa, and Sakina, who is 23,
together with their yet-to-be named step-mother.
They were picked up as
they attempted to escape after assaulting 28-year-old Rosemary Dadzie over
payment of electricity bills, resulting in her death on the way to hospital.
The deceased’s
husband,Nathaniel Kwaku Sam,is shocked at the tragedy after he had calmed
nerves earlier in the morning when the misunderstanding began before he left
for work.
Crime Officer at Suntreso
Police Command, ASP Nana Nkwantabisa, tells Nhyira News the three will be
arraigned before court after investigation.
The body has since been
deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
