Some religious leaders in
Kumasi have endorsed a call by their colleague for investigation into all judgment debt the
country has paid since the beginning of the Fourth Republic.
Moderator of the
Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey, made the call
about two weeks ago in Kumasi.
He was commenting on the
Woyome judgement debt saga and the yet-to be unraveled Construction Pioneers
case.
The Convention People’s
Party has made a similar call.
The latest hint of more
revelation by Attorney-General and Justice Minister, Ben Kumbour, at the Public
Accounts Committee hearing appears to raise more concern.
President of the Ghana Baptist
Convention, Reverend Dr, Steve Asante, Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul
Munin Harun, and the Methodist Bishop of Kumasi Diocese, Reverend Professor Kwadwo
Sarfo Knantanka, all have issues about the development.
In the following
submission they take turns to express their sentiments in support of Reverend
Professor Martey.
