Ebony’s Death: Charge Highways Director, others for manslaughter-NPP -man


A Communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Raphael Sarfo Patrick wants charges of manslaughter to  be pressed against the Ashanti Regional Director of Highways, Ing. Christian Nti and other staff.

According to the aspiring Regional Youth Organizer, the negligence of the Highways Director is the cause of many roads accidents in the region including the recent one which saw the death of songstress Ebony Reigns.

“The negligence of the Regional Director and other subordinates is causing many accidents.. The director must be charged for manslaughter”, the NPP Communicator suggested.

“If they have done their work well Ebony could not have died”, Raphael Sarfo Patrick spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM’s morning show.

“I am urging the family of Ebony to take the matter up”, he told host Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin during panel on “Kroyimunsem” show.

Meanwhile, the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyieso in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kennedy Kankam has bemoaned the deteriorating state of the road network in the country appealing for funds from international agencies to fix them.

He is of the view that this led to the death of the fast-rising dancehall artiste which sad event occurred on Thursday night on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway.

Ebony’s black Jeep vehicle with registration number AS 497-16 collided head-on with a KIA Grand Bird VIP bus with registration number GT3232-17 from the opposite direction.

The remains of Ebony and two other occupants established to be her bodyguard and a close pal who were in the vehicle with her have since been deposited at a local hospital in the Brong Ahafo Region.
